While there are many projects in-play under the environment umbrella, there is a specific focus on plastic, taking a holistic view of how to change and shift behaviours.
Starting locally we are educating our students, local schools and the public on waste reduction and stopping plastic from polluting our environment. We are setting up collection points at schools and on local estates where we create a virtuous circle, recycling plastics into raw materials and new products in our ‘maker hub’.
As this project grows, the potential for social good goes beyond cleaning up the local community and extends to a business model that can help alleviate the poverty of the elderly waste pickers who carry the burden of recycling in Hong Kong.
