Green Week 2021
Green Week 2021
Green Week is all about making the Island School community aware of the changes that could easily be made in everyday life and kick-starting some positive action for the planet.
This year, the change in the way we use technology meant we could hear from more external speakers. Gary Stokes from OceansAsia and Shaun Martin from WWF talked about some of the major issues that face our planet today. Their talks offered us a great springboard to launch some new initiatives such as the reusable masks programme and the biodiversity challenge, as well as reigniting interest in some of our other ongoing projects with plastic, polystyrene and food carton recycling. Green Week is a focal point but the WANBO team will continue to launch new and exciting initiatives for the community to get involved with, and in doing so, we want every student to be the change.
