Film Students Recreate Emmy Winning Title Credits
IB Career Programme and IB Film students worked with industry expert to recreate the Emmy winning title credits, on the 28 October.
Samantha Goh, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Fatbars Limited trained students on how to use masks and filters to create special effects for films and videos using ‘After Effects’ a motion graphics and visual effects software. The group then travelled to Sha Tin College to work with other Film students to replicate the Emmy winning title credits, inspired by the HBO show ‘True Detective’.
“This was a great opportunity for me to get started with this programme, it taught me the fundamentals of how to use the different panels, which helped me to use the software quicker. The programme is complicated at first sight, but once you learn the shortcuts that the instructor showed us, it feels more convenient” said Sean Wong (13D).
Rachel Handley (12R) and Valerie Cheng (12F) said, “The end product was cool because there was so much movement to it. I feel like I got professional experience during the workshop, and I would definitely use it again.”
