Redress Clothing Drive
Elements class ‘Fashion Forward’ is supporting the ‘Redress Clothing Drive’ across both campuses from the 14th-25th October.
Founded in 2007, Redress is a pioneering environmental charity that works to prevent textile waste, finding new solutions for unwanted clothing, and stopping them from ending up in landfills. The organisation has worked with government bodies, designers and consumers, to tackle the problem of textile waste and ultimately reduce fashion’s carbon, water and chemical footprints.
The activity aims to raise awareness about the need for sustainable fashion. There will be 4 collection boxes located around the Tai Wai campus and 1 on the ground floor of the Sha Tin Wai campus for students and staff to bring in any unwanted clothing during this period. Redress will then collect these and redistribute to their charities or re/sale in their ‘Pop Up” shops.
Let’s get redressed.
