Students Achieve Top GCSE Results

Top IGCSE grades were achieved by two Island School students. Cambridge Assessment, the international examining board, has awarded Outstanding Learners Awards to Jerrick Lee for the Top in the World Grade for Foreign Language Mandarin Chinese and Georgia Wong for Top in Hong Kong Grade for Chinese as a Second Language.

Jerrick said, “I love learning Chinese because it is not just an investigation in to the language it is the whole culture and experience that I enjoy.”

Georgia said, “The Chinese GCSE curriculum was interesting and challenging. I not only learned about the Chinese language but also Chinese culture. The course broadened my horizons and pushed me to pursue Chinese at a first language level in the IB.”
