Netball Team, International Secondary School Champions!

The Island School U12 netball team are International Secondary School Champions 2018. They beat Harrow 21-10 points in the league final on Wednesday 13 June 2018.

Coach Ms Walsh’s report,

It was a long road to the finals and the girls beat some very strong teams along the way. The finals match was against a strong Harrow team who were determined to win. Being 4-1 down after the first quarter made it a nail biting game but the team managed to claw back to be 7-5 ahead at half time thanks to some great shooting.

From then on, the team were able to dominate the game and pulled away to an eventual 21-10 win.

A big thank you to all the parents and friends who came and supported the girls throughout the competitions. Next year there will be more teams with more games so the future is looking great for our very talented and dedicated players. Congratulations girls!
