Year 8 students present findings from Hong Kong World City investigation
Having completed a unit of work entitled ‘Hong Kong: Asia’s World City?’ one student from each House, in Year 8, presented their research to an audience over of 170 people. They talked about those living in caged homes, the pollution and happiness indexes and the need to close the gap between the rich and poor.
Senior Leader Julian Reed said: “Students have been developing their critical thinking and research skills to investigate one aspect of the claim, Hong Kong: Asia’s World City? They have also been developing their communication skills by analysing famous speeches and incorporating a range of techniques in their own speeches. Congratulations to all the students for their tremendous work.”
