Curriculum Information Evening for New Parents in Years 7, 9 & 10

You are warmly invited to attend the upcoming information evening from 5.30pm to 8pm on Thursday 7th September. The purposes of this evening are:

• for you to meet again with your child’s House teachers
• for you to understand the Year 7 curriculum in each subject area
• for you to understand how we will communicate about your child’s progress
• for us (staff and parents) to develop a common understanding of how best to work in partnership to support your child’s curricular and extra-curricular learning, and your child’s wellbeing at school.

In preparation for this evening, please consult the curriculum information on the school website, and more specifically, this Year 7 curriculum information. Should you have any queries, you will have the opportunity to put them to subject leaders during that evening. Please note that we do not expect any students to attend this event. There will be limited parking available on the night, and at the end of the evening there will be buses to take you down to Admiralty, Central GPO and Pier 3.

Year 9 & 10 parents will start the evening in the Library at 5.30 when they will have the chance to meet other new parents from Years 9 and 10 and enjoy some light refreshments.

At 5.45, we will give a short curriculum overview for Years 9 and 10 and demonstrate where you can find further information.

Then, at 6.00, you are very welcome to join the parents of Year 7 students in the Hall.
