Y12 Students Visit HKUST Bioscience Faculty

A group of Y12 Science students participated in a guided tour of the Biosciences Central Research Faculty of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology on 12 April.

The tour started off with current HKUST students giving an introduction on the undergraduate opportunities available to IB candidates, followed by providing insights into the cutting edge research being conducted within the faculty.

Numerous highly advanced instrumental analyses were presented and discussed including Human Genome Sequencers, Electron Scanning Microscopy, Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry, and Polymerase Chain Reaction Assays.
