WANBO X Redress – Charity Bazaar
On the 12th of October, WANBO hosted its very first Charity Bazaar, selling donated clothes from the Redress Interhouse, earning over $5,226 in under an hour. All the money collected will go towards supporting Redress’ year-round educational work to reduce clothing waste entering landfills in Hong Kong!
We are extremely proud of and elated at the success of the WANBO × Redress Charity Bazaar on the 12th of October 2022. But no project is without its fundamental contributors! This initiative would not have been possible without the support of: Ms Eves and her outstanding Brilliant Books team; the senior and middle phase WANBO members; and all staff and teachers who assisted us. Thank you to everyone who helped move boxes, organise tables and fold clothes! Your contribution and participation today has supported us immensely and we truly appreciate it.
Lastly, a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to purchase clothing! Each piece of clothing purchased is a building block towards a sustainable future incorporating circular fashion, and we’re so happy that Island School Students are paving that pathway forward. We hope you look forward to more WANBO events in the coming future!
