The Magic of Reading

It’s Book Week this week! We at Island School just love curling up with a good book, especially when it’s raining like today. To get you thinking about the magic of reading, we’ve got a few questions for you to answer:

• What was your favourite book in Primary School?
• What is your favourite book of all time?
• What are you currently reading?
• What is the worst book you have ever read? (And why – think about the style of writing, plot, character development, etc)
• If you wrote a book, what would your author pen name be?
• J.K Rowling is running a competition for a new Harry Potter character name/Hogwarts teacher name – what would your entry be? / You are writing a new Star Wars story, what would you name your protagonist and antagonist?
• Register with a funny punny book title and author name e.g. Robots by Anne Droid or Danger! by Luke Out
• You write a book set in a dystopian future in an imaginary world – what would you name it?
