Students Take First, Second and Third at ESF Biathlon.

A strong performance from Island School’s students at the ESF biathlon, 14 June, saw Mathew Frank, 8E win his race “by a comfortable margin”!  Timmy Liu, 8F was first out the water and fought hard to take 3rd position.

The Year 8 girls team came second overall with top performances from Lily Sheary, 8F who was first overall and Charmaine Chan, 8F who placed third! Hwan Hee Lam, 7W came home in second place – with 90% of the Year 7 boys team achieving a personal best. After slugging it out in a crowded pool the Year 7 girls team finished 4^th overall.

The race was a 500 meter swim, followed by a 2k run. The event was hosted by KGV school.
