The Boys Athletics Team did a sterling job of consolidating their success and promotion to division 2 last year. Mr Sexton Director of Sports said, “Key to this was the commitment shown by our athletes to battle through the elements and meet all the challenges that a three day event holds.”
Excellent performances were plentiful – a few worth special mention, Ian Bentall recorded personal bests in both 100m and 200m. He was particularly happy with 23.68sec in the 200m. He ran 2 heats and the final and achieved a personal best each time. Kevin Hong in the 110 hurdles-PB of 16.48 and Matthew Frank 400m a PB of 54.6 a full second quicker than he has run before.
