Essays written by Carey Yeung, 11F; Grace Zheng, 10F and Priscilla Lee, 12F have been shortlisted for inclusion in an anthology of essays, commissioned by investment bank UBS.
The essays had to take on the title ‘I am unique, I am extraordinary’, allowing the students to write about their place as citizens in a global community. The writers explored various issues from personal triumphs and lessons, to life in Hong Kong.
The three shortlisted students were invited to attend a workshop in celebration of their achievements, at UBS headquarters in IFC on Wednesday 19th September,
Nobel Prize laureate and activist, Malala Yousefzai is an advocate for the project – she recorded a video message for the students.
