Roof Top Produce Garden

We are thrilled to announce the successful installation of a new rooftop produce garden at our school, made possible through the generous support of our Island School Trust. This exciting initiative aims to support curriculum and extra- curricular activities in the growing of seasonal herbs and vegetables.

Garden Gang club members and students in the Urban Survival elements course have helped to assemble the growing units and automatic irrigation systems. Currently we are growing corn, tomatoes and herbs. The next phase will be to develop varieties of fruiting trees to maximise the high light levels on the rooftop. Watch out for student grown culinary herbs and a selection of ornamental plants at the school fair.
