Most Improved and Passionate Awards Won at MUN Conference
At the MUN Conference held at Australian International School on 31 May – 2 Jun 2019, Island School students were awarded special prizes for their delegations.
Students debated world issues from the perspective of their allocated delegations of Israel and China focusing on the conference theme of “Freedom is strength, ignorance is slavery”, inspired by George Orwell’s novel 1984. Jasper Ma (12E) was given the prestigious position of Deputy Chair of the General Assembly; Julian Wong (10F), Grace Zheng (10F), Prityush Jhaveri (10E) were awarded the ‘Most Improved Delegate’ and Sara Adyanthaya (9D) was awarded the ‘Most Passionate Delegate’.
