Dear parents / care givers

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the open day this week. I had many positive comments from those that were here who experienced what we do best  – excellent teaching and learning.

As we move into the Chinese New Year period I would like to wish everyone Gung Hei Fat Choy and a prosperous Year of the Dog.

Island Giving

It is my pleasure to announce that the Island Giving program for 2018 is open and available on the school’s website.

The programme gives the supporters of Island School the opportunity to donate to the Island Trust which administers:-

Scholarships: That supports graduating students in their next step to university.

Spirit Fund: Which provides resources and opportunities which enrich the lives of current students.

John Ying Wah Gibson Fund: Which directs funds towards developing international mindedness and community service.

The program also supports the Nicola Meyers and Kenneth McBride Fund which awards scholarships to deserving underprivileged local school students.

The work of the Island Trust and the role of the Giving Program has been integral to the school in recent years. I ask all school community members to carefully consider these very worthwhile causes once again this year.
