Island School Students Go Plogging
Island School students took part in a “Plogging” event in Sha Tin during the school holiday earlier.
Organised by HK Ploggers, plogging is a new Swedish fitness trend where you run a set course, but collect rubbish on the way. Led by Katya Foong (11N), the Island School team ran 5km around the Shing Mun River. At the end of the run, they had collected 9 full bags of rubbish.
“After the run, we learnt more about the types of trash that can/can’t be recycled and sorted them into the correct bins.”, said Katya.
HK Ploggers orgainses weekly plogging across Hong Kong and welcomes everyone to join. Click here to find out more about the organisation.
