Green Week 2021, Organic Food Giveaway

Co Owner of Magic Organics, alumnus Alvin Kwong, Fleming, visited Island School during Green Week.

Alvin bought with him an assortment of organic vegetables from his farm in Qingyuan, Guangdong. He explained the process of shipping the vegetables into Hong Kong, and how picking up the orders at 3am has allowed them to create a more efficient supply chain.

Alvin told students about his mother, who has worked on the farm for 20 years. Thanks to her experience Magic Organics know which crops will grow in which areas of their property. The Food Science students packed and handed out the organic vegetables to students and staff, and the bags were gone within minutes!
