Fruit DNA in Year 9 Science

Year 9 students have been learning about DNA in their Science lessons over the past two weeks. They have been making origami models of DNA and have successfully extracted DNA from strawberries, bananas and kiwis at home! Students have found learning about DNA “challenging but fun” and “surprising that we managed to extract DNA from fruit”. Here are some photographs from Mr Cawson and Mrs Thomson’s classes.
