Diwali Celebrations 24-28 October 2022
Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated all around the world by Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains. In a diverse and multicultural school such as ours, the festival is of the utmost importance and celebrated by many in our community.
Diwali usually lasts around five days and is celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar month of Kartika, which is between mid-October and mid-November. We have arranged for celebrations shortly after the mid-term break.
Island School will be celebrating Diwali from the 24th to the 28th of October. To usher in the festivities, Diwali music will be played during break times and before registration. Moreover, Asia Pacific Catering has generously volunteered to serve traditional Indian snacks and drinks throughout the week.
Aside from this, please look at the schedule for the Diwali week celebrations at Island School!
