Cyrus Wins HKSSF Rising Star Award

Basketball player Cyrus Leung has won the Hong Kong School Sports Federation Rising Star Award after the Island School basketball team won the division 3 championships last month. 

His Coach Ernest Liu had this to say about him, “Cyrus is a committed member of the C grade Basketball team. Last season he showed great dedication to his teammates and displayed a positive attitude towards the officials and the competition he faced. He was often seen leading team drills and explaining concepts to his teammates. His competitiveness rallied Island School to an undefeated season in the ESF league and the HKSSF league.”

“His defining moment came against Hong Kong Chinese Women Club College in the HKSSF semi – final game where he scored 32 points, 16 of which came in the last quarter of the game.”
