Book Week 2020 Goes Online!
Students and staff got really into the spirit of a virtual Book Week, held from 9th to 13th March earlier, by engaging in a range of activities to celebrate and promote a love of reading.
A number of classes dressed up for Zoom and Google Hangout lessons and staff even dressed up for the Friday morning Zoom staff briefing; Ms Word’s Professor Trelawny, Mrs Sharma’s Miss Havisham and Mr Rappel’s Werewolf were frighteningly convincing.
Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in Book Week themed learning in their online English lessons and produced some amazing creative responses to their reading including card games, mood boards, cakes, cookies, finger puppets, soundtracks and photo challenges of them reading in unusual places.
We’d like to say a huge thanks to the students for pulling together and letting their creativity shine!
