Artist Ian Murphy Visits Island School
Students in Year 11-13 Visual Arts classes had the opportunity to participate in workshops with British Fine Artist Ian Murphy last week. Ian Murphy’s expertise in tonal drawings, atmospheric paintings, and architectural places provided students with a unique perspective and a chance to learn from a professional in the field.
By engaging with Murphy’s artistic process, students had the opportunity to observe firsthand how different materials can be blended and how surface textures can be manipulated. This has been particularly beneficial for students as they can incorporate his techniques into their portfolio development which can greatly enhance students’ growth.
