Winter Fair 2023 Programme

Tis the season to be jolly!  Island School Winter Fair 2023 will take place on Friday, 1st December, 2023, 4:00 – 8:30pm! The biggest day of the school for our Island School community is nearly upon us and all of Santa’s helpers are lining up to welcome you back to campus.  The proceeds from our Winter Fair will be dedicated to enhancing the LG03 playground space as a purposeful space for play, lunch and games. To continue ISPTA’s commitment to charity, the proceeds from the Christmas Market will be donated to the Island School’s Nicola & Kenneth Bursaries to support disadvantaged Hong Kong secondary school students.

We are thrilled to share that this year, along with cash, we will be accepting Octopus payments at all food and market stalls.  You may also use your Octopus to buy tickets for the games!  Please note that there is only 1 place to top up your Octopus cards on-site, the APC Isle Cafe, so avoid disappointment and bring them fully-loaded!

Site Plan
Make sure you don’t miss a thing by having a look at the attached site plan HERE.  There is so much to see and do so best to be prepared for a fabulous Winter Fair experience!

International food hall: Culinary delights with a significant slice of sustainability
Thanks to the cooking mamas and papas, we have an amazing choice of cuisines including Chinese, Japanese, Korean & Southeast Asian. There’s also the Curry Corner, Italian & Hungarian selection, and Hong Kong snacks and the crowd favourite BBQ Burgers. Many of these cuisines will also be offering plant-based options of their fabulous foods!  See what you can find!

No meal is complete without a decadent dessert, so do check out the Baker’s Corner with cupcakes, doughnuts, cookies, cakes, egg waffles, Hungarian pastries and much more!  Pre-dining snack options include popcorn, cotton candy, coffee in collaboration with our campus dining provider APC. Our own Island School students will also be serving up toasting Hot Cocoa! Come hungry, leave satisfied!

The Winter Fair has firmly adopted Island School’s commitment to the environment and  aspires to be our greenest school fair ever!  Support the cause by Bringing Your Own (BYO) food container, water bottle and even cutlery, or use our reusable plates, cutlery & cups available at the food hall. How close can we get to zero-waste?

Sustainable shopping – 2nd hand Uniforms and Books
A significant number of Island School students actively run WANBO, a group focused on reducing our impact on the Earth. These students will be selling gently used school uniforms as well as second-hand books aimed for the enjoyment of readers of all ages. There is something for everyone. Please bring your own bags!

Holly Jolly Christmas Market
No Winter Fair would be complete without a merry line-up of Christmas and winter holiday items.  Act fast to get one of the festive “Island School” ornaments brought to you by our friends at The Lion Rock Press. Bookazine will also be well-represented along with other local favourites offering goodies large and small. This holiday season wish your loved ones with handmade cards created with utmost perfection and love.

What’s more, dive into the festive spirit with a handcrafted Christmas wreath adorning your home. To support the N & K Fund, we are offering pre-order service of fresh noble fir Christmas wreaths at special prices at our Winter Fair on 1 Dec 2023. One hundred percent of the sales will be donated to the N & K Bursary to benefit local students who have financial needs in funding their education.
