Christmas Cooking

It has been an extremely busy, exciting and productive week in the Food department. On Monday the Lord’s Kitchen Elements got in the festive spirit whilst collaborating to
make Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, which was served up buffet style. On Tuesday the Y12 Hospitality students ran smoothie stalls, for their Non-alcoholic drinks Unit. Then Y13 Hospitality students went to Tree House Vegan restaurant, to have a talk from the owner, about their Corporate Social Responsibility and how they are working to have a positive impact on the environment.

On Wednesday the Sweet Indulgence students went to Baking Maniac for a Macaroon making master class. And on Thursday and Friday the Y11 GCSE Food students had their mock practical exams, where they had to cook and present three Mexican dishes in three hours, Masterchef style.
