Life Guard (March to October 2016)

Responsibilities

1.To observe the pool users at all times. Weak swimmers or students with particular difficulties need to be watched more carefully. Enforce the Pool rules concerning safety and hygiene.
2.When the Pool is not in use, the surrounding area must be cleaned and swept. All equipment should be put away tidily. Rubbish should be removed.
3.Water quality should be monitored and maintained at all times. PH needs to be measured every day.
4.When required, the Lifeguard assists with the booking and checking of bookings for PE lessons off-site. This may involve using the telephone, Internet Bookings and occasionally going to the venues to pay for the use of facilities. The Lifeguards are also occasionally asked to perform general duties e.g. setting up volleyball posts, pumping up balls in a weekly basis.

Requirements

The position holder must be in possession of a current Pool Lifeguard Award qualification. Some experience in water quality maintenance is also vital. A good command of English and Cantonese is also required. Knowledge or skills in handling minor repairs of equipment or facilities will be advantage.

Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
