Romeo and Juliet
Last week, the Y10 and Y11s and English Department practically took over the Rita Lui theatre at the HKAPA for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch the ABA Productions outstanding performance of Romeo and Juliet. With an exceptionally talented cast who were all well-versed in not only acting, but also dancing and music as well, the show proved to be an amazing learning experience for all. With entertaining scenes that portrayed a creative interpretation of the original play, students were extremely engaged throughout the show, especially during the music intervals where modern songs were utilised. The set design was visually striking, with intricate details that brought the story to life. Furthermore, the seamless coordination of lighting, sound effects, and choreography only added depth and intensity to crucial scenes.
