Book Week 2022
“There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island.” — Walt Disney.
Book Week 2022 from 3 -13 May was organised by the English Department & Committee. 80 students from different year groups planned the literary fest with competitions, conversations and costumes, including interdisciplinary events and surprise challenges.
Year 11 students started the week by representing the school in the international youth discussion group Books Unwrapped to discuss The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. The excitement and exhilaration of the week were a big hit among all year groups despite various disruptions.
The English Department & Committee has invited more than 80 students across six year groups to organise the literary fest with competitions, conversations and costumes, a total of 9 interdisciplinary events and 10+ surprises/twists that took place during the week.
