Congratulations to Arial Jang (7W) for winning the Young Geographer of the Year (Urbanscape caterogy, Secondary) at the first Hong Kong Young Geographers of the Year Awards 2021.

Two Sides of Hong Kong by Arial Jang, 7W

Organised by the Royal Geographical Society (Hong Kong), Arial’s winning artwork ‘Two Sides of Hong Kong’ was chosen among over 400 entries. Participates were asked to submit a visual image – it can be a photograph, a map, a sketch or an infographic, accompanied by a brief written explanation that demonstrates their knowledge and application of geographical concepts that connect to competition themes. Winners in each category were then selected by a diverse range of judges including geography and the natural sciences experts, photographers, educators and nature enthusiasts in Hong Kong.
