Goodness Gracious ‘Glee’ A Celebration of Creativity and Teamwork
The ‘Glee’ effect hitl Year 7 and 8 students performing musical numbers in their Houses yesterday, 27 June 2018. Classes prepared for the Inter-House Glee during their music lessons and tutor time putting together acts which combined singing, dancing and multimedia elements.
Joe Travers Head of Music said, “Inter-House Glee was a celebration of creativity and teamwork, a chance for students to represent their houses. I was really impressed with the high quality of the acts and the diverse range of ideas that the students produced. It was a joy to hear the whole of the junior school singing in unison at the end of the show.”
Year 7 worked really hard designing the acts from scratch including song choices, choreography and presentations. Anne from 7F said, “My best moment at Glee was looking out at the crowd of people and feeling nervous but having the courage to sing anyway.”
Saskia from 7E said, “I enjoyed it when everybody sang together, I really liked the atmosphere.”
Vice Principal Julian Reed said, “It was a brilliant start to what I hope will be an annual event. A great way to end the year.”
“Congratulations to all students who took part and thank you to form tutors who supported the event.”
