Dear Parents and Caregivers

‘The Islander’ is a wonderful annual publication prepared by students to chronicle the Island School year. This year’s edition was recently released and is in the final stages of distribution.

Whilst every edition of “The Islander” is unique, I feel confident in saying that the 2017-18 version will prove to be a standout edition because it provides the student perspective on the before and after of our move to Sha Tin.

When I received my copy the first thing I noticed was the incredible art work on the cover. I loved the concept of blending the Borrett Road buildings with our Sha Tin campuses.

Two other things stood out for me in this year’s edition. Firstly that 2017-18 has been an enormously successful year and secondly that our students have relished every opportunity that was provided.

An enormous amount of time and effort goes into this activity and special congratulations must go to the Islander editorial team. Led by editors Nicole So and Jennifer Frawley and our staff supporters Ms Sarah Jolly and Ms Pippa Peters the finished result is a credit to them and our entire school community.
