A Helping Home – Service Learning in Sha Tin

New to the CAS (creativity, activity and service) fair next year will be Ronald McDonald House. A charity that provides free accommodation for families with seriously ill children in the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sha Tin. It also provides a number of free services for children in the area such as English reading programmes.

 CAS Coordinator, Colin Spanos visited the House, a short walk from the Island School Sha Tin Wai campus, he said, “The Ronald McDonald House staff spoke with enthusiasm and pride about how the house helps to make children happier and healthier by keeping their families together and offering a supportive environment in challenging times for families.”

The CAS fair will be held in 28 August 2018 at the Sha Tin Wai campus. Students from Years 9 – 12 who visit the fair can discover what CAS opportunities are available and how they can best use their skills.
