Year 9 Stem Robotic Surgery
On Tuesday the 12th December, Year 9 students participated in STEM Day. In House groups they completed a series of STEM based challenges, including: building a robotic arm to pop a balloon and perform ‘surgery’ on a piece of liver! Associated challenges were related to the Maths and Science of the project. The STEM teachers said they were incredibly impressed by the standard of work and that many groups completed all challenges! The students demonstrated excellent collaboration, creativity and critical thinking when building their models and attempting each of the challenges. The winning teams were selected by staff and the STEM Committee of students. Prizes were awarded, this week, at a year group assembly.
Congratulations to the winning teams!
