Varian Johnson, an American teen fiction writer, ran a workshop with the Writers’ Block Elements group 17th March as part of the Hong Kong Young Reader’s Festival. English Teacher Sarah Jolly said; “Varian was highly engaging and gave the students lots of tips for planning and writing their own books. One student commented that ‘the activities were really fun and mysterious. The end product was not what we expected’. Another Year 11 was grateful for his visit, stating ‘he was awesome.’”
