Typhoons Sports Report

Island School Sports teams are in action again after such a long lay off. The Hong Kong School Sports Federation has managed to get table tennis, badminton and tennis competitions going.

Our table tennis and badminton players have been playing both league matches and representing Island school in the Jing Ying competition.

Congratulations to Shraya Mutha 12F, Alex Sallustro 11F and Noriyasu Watanabe 10R who played exceptionally well in a one day table tennis tournament.

Coach Suki commented on how well the badminton team  is playing. The girls are unbeaten with great performances all round. Cherry Cheung 11F, Jenny Leung 12R, Tiffany Chow11F, Nichole Yuen 12W and Ade Lam 12E  played against VSA on Monday and won 3- 1.

The Boys; Joseph Lau 12D, Matthew Tam 10N, Justin Wong 11E, Sean Wong 11D and Kayden Ng 11F are also unbeaten and top the group.

The tennis teams have started their competition and are finding the going tough. However fantastic performances are plentiful David Fu 7E has made his Typhoons debut and acquitted himself well against opposition in the senior school. The boys who have played todate are: Donovan Yim 9E, Eric So 10D, Dominic Sinclair 13F Shuraya Mutha 12F  The girls tennis players to date are: Keeana Masuda 10W, Tammy Cheung 11E, Cherry Cheung 11F, Audery Ho 11F, Aileen Yang 10D Jenny Leung 12R.
