Teaching Tech to Refugees

Boundless Voices, an Island School student initiative aims to amplify the voices of the marginalised and provide them with more opportunities. Their goal is to teach digital literacy to refugees. To do this, Boundless Voices needs help, Boundless Voices is asking you to donate your old computers, and any other useful devices. With support from the IS community, children of refugees will discover meaningful opportunities and gain access to educational resources. Please click HERE for more information.

Currently there are tens of thousands of refugees awaiting citizenship in Hong Kong. Most refugees are unable to work legally, so they depend on government grants. The internet has transformed our society, but those without access to technology are being excluded from: news, information, entertainment – from society. With limited access adults, teenagers and children are stuck in an information bubble.

Please contact us at boundlessvoiceshk@gmail.com, before 17th December to notify us of your interest. We will be collecting donated devices from the campuses.
