Teacher Appreciation Week 2022
This year’s International Teacher Appreciation Week took place from 2 to 6 May, during which Island School celebrated and honoured its teachers’ hard work and dedication.
Students put together a gratitude collage box to thank teachers for their dedicated work, especially during the pandemic. Form captains in Tai Wai collected questions last week from their classes. and made this compilation video. In the coming weeks, students in Years 7, 8 and 9 are planning to produce a series of teacher appreciation videos to reflect the hard work their form tutors have done.
All interviews and relevant images will be shared on the Culture Team website.
In spite of the fact that the Teacher Appreciation Week celebrations have been wrapped up, students and families are encouraged to express their gratitude on the ISPTA’s Teacher Gratitude Padlet. A submission form is also open until the end of May to submit pieces of media i.e videos, audio, and postcards other than sticky notes.
Additionally, the newly-launched Culture Team website features the team’s past events, as well as the Culture Podcast. The latter has just finished the release of its April Episodes, and is currently releasing for May.
