Singing Super Stars – Make Headlines

With media agencies publishing lists of who to watch out for in the coming year, Island School can add two singing stars to the list Natascha Nets and Elizabeth Stewart.  Both have recently been featured in the South China Morning Post’s Young Post following Island School music events.

Natascha Nets, 12 years old, won Island School’s Stars In Their Eyes style competition with her powerful version of Alicia Keys’ This Girl Is On Fire. In the Young Post’s article Natascha is quoted as saying “The stage is my home!” She has appeared in many productions both in and out of school and this Spring she will appear in the HK Youth Arts Foundation’s play Melodia.

Fellow singer, 11 year old, Elizabeth Stewart is also making headlines with her solo career.  She has already recorded three albums, including one with the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra. She has made more than 30 solo appearances in Macau, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore and Kota Kinabalu.
