Mother Tongue Week 2024

This year, Mother Tongue Week was a resounding success, providing a whirlwind of fun opportunities for Island School to showcase its incredibly diverse student body. On Monday, we started the Show Off Your Mother Tongue competition to share mother tongue languages in a creative short video! Following that, all Year 7 to 10 culture reps in each form competed in the mother tongue quiz interhouse. Congratulations to all participants! Throughout the week, there were cultural food-themed cuisines in the cafeteria and snacks provided by Asia Pacific. Yesterday, there was the Mother Tongue Week concert in the courtyard during lunch with talented solos, dances, and music performances!
