Our School Council, chaired by Michael Lok, plays an integral role in the governance of our school. It is important that every parent understands the work of the Council as they have significant impact on the strategic direction of our school.

The whole School Council meets 6-7 times a year and also schedules regular sub-committee meetings to review performance in the areas of finance, human resources, student wellbeing and risk management as well as curriculum.

Last weekend the school council held its annual retreat that brought together all school council members and the senior leadership team of the school. The event consisted of:

• An address by the chair on the challenges that lay ahead
• Workshops that focussed on the strategic priorities of the school
• Professional development sessions for council members to ensure they have the background knowledge to effectively perform their role.
