Light Up A Life’ Christmas Concert

The Island School Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra are performing at the annual ‘Light Up A Life‘ Christmas Concert at St. John’s Cathedral on Tuesday 5 December 7:30pm-9:00pm in support of the Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care.
Light Up A Life‘  is a wonderful way to start the festive season and features the Island School Chamber Choir and Chamber Orchestra, 8N soprano soloist Elizabeth Stewart, the Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir and congregation carols all washed down with mince pies and mulled wine after the concert.
Tickets are now on sale from the Music Department for $250, please contact Winnie Cho at islandschoolmusic@gmail.com to reserve. All proceeds go to support the Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care.
This is a prestigious event where Island School musicians give back to the wider Hong Kong community, it is a beautifully reflective way to start the festive season and we would be delighted if you could join us. Here is our performance of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas from ‘LightUp A Life‘ last year.

Come Light Up a Life with us for this Christmas Season
Please take a moment, while celebrating the festive season with loved ones, to consider those facing the prospect of doing so for the last time.  Help us light up the lives of those with life limiting illnesses so that they, too, can enjoy a brighter Christmas with their loving families and caregivers.

Join us for the Annual Light Up a Life Tree Lighting Concert organised by the Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care. A Tree of Life, festooned with personal remembrance cards from family members, will be lit during a programme of traditional festive music, featuring the Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir and the Island School Orchestra & Choir, at St. John’s Cathedral, 4-8 Garden Road, Hong Kong, at 7:30 pm on 5 December 2017.
