Languages of Love

Island School ranked number one in Asia for language learning in world championships.

Recently, our Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in the Education Perfect World Championships for language learning. Students revised previous vocabulary and learned new phrases in a variety of languages whilst scoring individual and school points for reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The tournament was an overwhelming success and out of the 2800 schools which took part globally, Island School came 34th overall which meant we were not only the top ranked school in Hong Kong, but also in Asia which is a tremendous achievement!

Well done to Cayden Lock (8N), Jerry Qiu (7F) and Tony Luo (7D) who all achieved the Elite award for scoring over 10,000 points each.

Congratulations to all those who took part – we’re so proud of you!
