Islander’s Scientific Discovery Published in Journal

Scientist and now author Haihao Liu, Class of 2014, Wilberforce, has been accepted for publication in Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter.

His paper titled “Hidden Symmetries in N-Layer Dielectric Stacks” explains his discovery made last summer at Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. He studies Material Science and NanoEngineering, and Mathematics at Rice University in Houston, Texas.

Liu has also won the Rice University Undergraduate Poster Presentation Award for his work on Alto-Photonics Light Conversion.
