Inter-House Clothing Drive Results
After a few intense weeks, we’ve finally come to a fruitful ending to the first Green Cup event of this school year! In total, all the houses have collected over 4,078 clothes. The WANBO team wants to first give our thanks to all the houses and everyone that contributed to donating. There are so many unwanted clothes generated from the concept of fast fashion which in turn, creates an issue for the environment and WANBO is happy to see that the Island School community is so eager to help change that.
Below are the results by campus and overall in totals.
Massive congratulations to all the houses participating and all passing the 500-piece of clothes milestone and a huge congratulations to Wilberforce for getting first place with a whopping total of 939 clothes.
Please note that whilst the inter-house clothing drive is over, there will still be boxes available at the recycling point at each campus where clothing can still be dropped off. Island School is looking to maintain a long term partnership with Redress going forward.
WANBO is looking to recruit new student volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Ross Burrough at ross.burrough@online.island.edu.hk
