Hong Kong Young Writers Awards 2022

Island School English Department is proud to announce that the Hong Kong Young Writers Awards 2022 has shortlisted the following students, whose work will appear in the 2022 Anthology, “Tales of the Mogao Grottoes”:

Kate Chan (8F), Maddie Tsai (10N)

Huge congratulations to Kate and Maddie.

The annual writing competition aims to foster excellence in creativity by providing students aged from 6 to 18 with the opportunity to develop their talents and expand their horizons in English writing. Entry categories range from fiction, non-fiction, poetry to cover art.

There will be an online awards ceremony later in the year, and the anthology will also be available in our library, and to buy from Bookazine.

Four students were also credited with a special mention for their creative work:

Chianne Chung  (10F)

Well done to all on their outstanding results , and we look forward to reading Kate and Maddie’s stories once the anthology has been published.
