Island School’s Higher Education and Careers Counsellor, Rebecca Lucas-Timpany has been awarded the ‘Future Leader Award’ by the Council of International Schools. The award is given to an up and coming international admissions officer or school counsellor who demonstrates strong leadership potential and embodies the CIS mission. This is the first award of its type and was presented to Rebecca at a conference attended by over 750 delegates.

The Council of International Schools judges explained that the award was given to Rebecca because she is a highly motivated individual who has earned the respect of those in her school for her innovation and forward-thinking approach to counselling students.

On receiving the award Rebecca said: “It is quite overwhelming to have won, there are so many great people within the industry. I feel very lucky.”
