Students and Parents Visit Sha Tin Campuses
The majority of students and 200 parents visited the Sha Tin campuses this week. Parents were invited to go on one of four tours to either the Island School Sha Tin Wai or Tai Wai campus. They were greeted by Principal Stephen Loggie who talked about the refurbishment progress and relationship building with the local community.
Parents then toured the campuses led by Project Manager and Vice Principal Paul Bentham. One group of parents were so impressed with the campus that Mr Loggie was given an ovation when he got on the return bus. Students from all Years (except Year 12) travelled in small groups, by MTR, to their relevant campus.
When students got to the Sha Tin campus they had lunch, a short assembly and briefing before heading home. One Year 9 student said, “I often get the MTR so travelling to Tai Wai was an easy journey. I live in Tin Hau and currently it takes me 15-20 mins to get to school in January it will take me 30-40mins by school bus”.
When asked if he was concerned about moving next term he said, “As long as I get to study and I have my friends there I don’t really mind about moving schools.”
