Director and Producer Emma Lucia comes to Island School
Emma Lucia, Director at Clwyd Theatre Cymru, worked with Island School’s Year 13 English Language and Literature students this week in developing their understandings of Henrik Ibsen’s seminal play ‘A Doll’s House’. She offered valuable insight into the text in performance, using her recent production as a means to discuss choices faced by the director in putting the play on the stage.
Daniel Stamp, English Teacher said; “A Doll’s House is a IB set text, the students benefited enormously from the experience, having considered issues of translation and characterisation.”
“To have a professional from the theatre industry with us was a wonderful experience.”
