Winter Gala Raises Money for NMKM Fund

Island School’s first Winter Gala at the Sha Tin Wai campus over $40,000 for the Nicola Myers Kenneth McBride Memorial Fund. Students, parents and staff all came together to celebrate the season, with lots Christmas entertainment, face-painting and card decorating and cookie decorating.

Although money is still being counted, approximately $____ has been raised. All proceeds will go to the Nicola Myers Kenneth McBride Memorial Fund, a charity dedicated to providing academically driven but financially limited Hong Kong students with support for their education. The grants awarded to students are used to pay for exam fees, tutoring, books or sometimes basic living costs such as food or transport.
